Events and PvP
General Event Info:
Generally, there are five recurring main events that Pennypop likes to hold: Arena Event, Dominion, 10 Day Events, Troop Wars, and Battle Royale. There are 2 side events called: World Boss Event and League Events. Your goal in each event will always be to gain as many trophies as you can to receive rewards based on your rank relative to other Battle Camp players. Each event will have a unique way to gain double (or more) trophies than usual. These situations are normally due to an Enraged Boss or to a prior notification. Note: You can only leave a troop once during an event. If you left/were kicked and joined another troop, you will not be able to leave the new troop until the rewards have completely been processed.
For two of the events, Arena Events and 10 Day Events, they follow the same schematic. Both events have a main boss that is the center of your focus for earning trophies. The boss will have an active that will be different for every event. The boss requires a certain item to be donated to them so that they can be attacked. Once the boss is donated to 100%, he can then be engaged on the following 4 difficulties: Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme. Each difficulty is 10 times harder than the previous one so slowly work your way up as a troop to see what difficulty you can engage comfortably. Note: Every time you engage the boss, he will become harder than the previous time you engaged him, but will also give more trophies. Some troops can start off with a harder difficulty, but end up playing the rest of the event on the difficult right below. For example, a super tier troop may be able to do a handful of Extreme modes, but then end up doing only Hard modes after a few days. Also Note: Every time you engage the boss, the cost of medals/emblems/specials will cost more up until a certain cap. Note: If you cannot kill the boss within the 8 hour time, then you and your troop will gain NO trophies, even if he is at 99.9%. One final note: only during these events may you use your e-tokens (except Arena Event).
For the other 3 events, Dominion, Troop Wars and Battle Royale, they follow their own similar schematic. Both events do NOT have a boss at all. Instead, they have a "war" every 4 hours in which troops will battle with each other in a way that is specific to the event. These event pets are also recurring, unlike the 10 Day Event Pets. Note: There are 2 sets of Troop Wars event pets that alternate their bonuses every war. Serious Note: The matching system for these events is based on the closeness of the rankings. A troop with players at 100k PR can be matched up with a troop with 400k PR if the 400k PR troop isn't trying very hard in the event. Please understand it's not based on PR, but the number of trophies.
Note For Non-Spenders Mainly: In EVERY event, you will gain "e-tokens" which can be used for purchasing costumes, event supers, specials, energy, and trophies. It is recommend you only use these for event supers or energy (maybe a costume if you don't care as much for future use).
Note For Spenders: Every event you decide to spend, you should have enough gold to spend for event spins through lucky grab. The damage you receive for event monsters is insane, and if you save maxed specials before the event to PE them, then you could easily get into ultra tier or higher depending on how much you spend.
Finally, before getting into each event, let me remind you that there are "benchmark rewards" set up for each main event. Gaining a certain amount of trophies can earn you an extra 5 or 10 energy, an ultimate grab, a feeding booster, etc. You can check during the event in the event button to see the benchmark rewards for that event.
I will explain the events in detail.

Raid Event (10 Day Event):
This event is called a 10 Day Event for one simple reason...the event lasts 10 days. Note: These events normally have amazing event rewards like monsters with swap or element swap. These events never have recurring event mobs. Because it is a 10 day event, you must spin for the event mobs early on in the event OR halfway through the event. The reason you must spend halfway through is because the event epic is not available until the halfway point of the event. So if you choose to spend, choose wisely. I can confidently say that these types of events are probably the most disliked events out of all the events for multiple reasons, but mainly for the lengthiness required to continually play and spend. Whenever a 10 Day Event pops up, it's not titled: "10 Day Event." This is just a name I use that will relate to all of them. Another way to refer to them are "Raid Event" (This is what Pennypop calls them) or "Special Events" or "Holiday Events." Examples of a 10 Day Event are: Valentine's Day Event, Easter Event(currently active), Christmas Event, Halloween Event, I Joebot, etc. They are not all holiday related, but all major holidays have a 10 Day Event.
Current 10 Day Event Info:
Here is what I've learned from the event so far:
How To Do The Event: This event is also centered around a boss. The difference with the other bosses is that you must donated Event Specials to engage the boss. In this event, you have three goals for the event:
Let's look at goal 1 first:
This event is mainly considered a "farming" event because of this aspect. You can farm event specials in two ways. The first way is to simply kill commons in the event zone, and event specials will appear where they can be won like normal specials. Note: You cannot win 2 event specials at one time, but you can win 1 event special and 1 regular special at one time. The second way you can win event specials is by attacking the mini boss on the map.
The mini boss will ask you to defeat a certain number of commons before you can fight him. The first time, he will ask you to defeat 2, then 4, then 6, then 8, then 10 and remaining at 10 until the event ends. Once you have defeated the required amount of commons, you can then engage him with 2 energy on any difficult from Easy < Medium < Hard < Extreme. I really do not recommend extreme unless you have a team with over 100k health. Try your best to gauge which difficult you should do. The only difference between the mini boss difficulties is the amount of trophies you receive from beating him, because each difficulty only gives one event special. To maximize your farming efforts, you should defeat the amount of commons the mini boss requires, defeat the mini boss, and repeat.
NOTE: Event specials have an extremely low feeding value. Even if they are a maxed energized version, they will feed less/equivalent to a low common.
Let's look at goal 2:
Remember, as I said at the beginning, once you have gather enough specials, you can donate them to Raid Boss. Once the Boss hits 100% for donations, he can then be engaged on the following 4 difficulties: Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme. Each difficulty is 10 times harder than the previous one so slowly work your way up as a troop to see what you can engage comfortably. It will also cost more specials to donate each time until a certain cap. NOTE: This boss is turn based, not time based. You can attack for 7 turns, instead of 1 minute. Use your moves carefully and plan out each attack.
Let's look at goal 3:
In the 10 Day Event, there is a unique part called TvT which stands for Troop vs. Troop. Basically, there is a TvT boss that has the same ability as the main boss, except weaker or completely removed ability. The TvT boss normally has the same element as the main boss. At 2 times of the day, spread out by 12 hours, depending on your location, the TvT boss will become active for 1 hour which you will attack him as much as you can for trophies. He's basically a sandbag that buffs your trophies up high.
Strategy: Some troops like to engage and try to do TvT during or in-between their engages. Others like to do only TvT and spend during that 1 hour. Ultra tier troops engage both Extreme and do TvT whenever it is available. You should customize what you do depending on the strength of your troop.
Basically you do the exact same thing for 10 Days straight and see where you are at the end.
Troop Wars:
Troop Wars is a unique event where you battle other troops's pets rather than attacking a boss that needs donations. It has two sets up recurring event monsters where one set will be active during one troop war, then the other set will be active during the next troop war. They alternate event bonuses. If you would like to build an event monster team, I recommend spending on the event grabs on every other Troop Wars. This event is located in: Troop Wars.
How To Do The Event: This event is a "scheduled" event, meaning troop admins must schedule for wars against other troops. The beginning of wars are separated by a 4 hour time span, and each war lasts for 1 hour. During this time, as a troop, you must defeat the enemy troop pet from 100 to 0 health, then attack the enemy flag mercilessly.
There are a few details that must be noted:
Battle Royale:
Battle Royale is one of Pennypop's newest events where you directly battle other troop's set up teams. So far, this event has only been released 2 times, so our knowledge is limited for it. There are recurring event mobs that work for every Battle Royale so far. If the next time is also a recurring event mob, then I highly recommend people spend for event spins. This event is located in: Battle Royale.
How To Do The Event: This event is a "scheduled" event. Troop admins will need to sign up for battles against other troops. The beginning of the battles are separated by a 4 hour time span, and each battle lasts for 1 hour. During this time, as a troop, you must defeat the enemy through defense and attack as many times as you can. The enemy will attack your defense team and you will attack their defense teams. Note: Each attack is only given 1 minute, but you can go over 1 minute if your attack is still gaining combos beyond the 0 second mark. You are given 5 members of the enemy team to attack on the battlefield. After hitting a person 3 times, the amount of trophies you can gain from then lowers to 1, therefore you should not attack a person more than 3 times (really, you shouldn't attack anyone more than 2 times). You can refresh for free once per match, which changes the 5 enemies randomly to 5 enemies in the enemy troop.
Spenders and Ultra troops: Speaking to your opposing troop before the match starts and removing ALL defense teams benefits both troops allowing individuals to hit as hard as they need for their individual tier. If your troop has some hard hitters and you know you'll be making ultra tier as a troop, help each other out and remove defense teams. Normally your rival troop is 1 rank above or below you.
Event Spins: There are 2 types of event monsters you can receive from the event spins: attack and defend monsters. If you receive attack monsters, then anyone you defeat using those attack monsters will give you a trophy bonus depending on their rarity. If you receive defense monsters, then anyone who attacks your defense team with defense event monsters on your team, and they lose, you will gain a trophy bonus depending on their rarity for defending.
Defense: Before any battle has started, you should have your defense team already be set up. Because Battle Royale requires a total of 10 monsters (5 for attack and 5 for defense), you will have to decide which monsters will be on your defense. If you do not have 10, then you will have to make your own judgement on which of your monsters will maximize your trophy gain. You need a strong defense to stop the enemy from gaining trophies against your troop and overall winning.
There are a few different approaches to creating your defense team. I will name the teams that I have lost to quite often. You can have an offensive team with snipes/vampires/lacerate/blast, meaning generally offensive actives. If you use actives that can be activated in 2-3 turns only, then it will be deadly for the enemy because actives hit hard. You can have a completely defensive team with health passives and 2 counters/barriers/shield/regen/group heal. If you do this, you're basically trying to be a tank that cannot be killed. Another deadly team is a team using sacrifice. As long as you set up your team to survive long enough for your monster to survive, sacrifice is a one shot kill. You could also create the Haha I Fooled You team where you set the red common from the beginning zone in Battle Camp to your first monster, so people think that your team is just a full common team with 7k Power Rating, when instead your team is a 300k Power rating with a common in it. Make sure to put on event monsters to maximize your trophy gain from defense.
Attack: Now that your defense team is set up, you must use your best team possible to defeat the enemy. Battle Royale sets 5 players from the enemy team onto the battlefield for you to attack. The 5 enemies are then ranked from 1 to 5 on the strength of their team. Based on their ranking, they give more trophies, if defeated, for the higher ranking they are.
For example, I face a troop and their 5 people have Power ratings of 30k, 130k, 230k, 330k, and 440k. The 440k may give 7800 trophies per energy, 330k gives 5400 trophies per energy, 230k gives 3300 trophies per energy, 230 gives 1500 trophies per energy, and the 30k gives 750 trophies per energy. If i refresh to face new enemies, I could get 310k, 300k, 290k, 100k, 50k. Their trophy amounts upon their defeat are the same as the first set, 7800, 5400, 3300, 1500, and 750 respectively.
If you decide to put on event monsters that are not leveled or strong, then you will have to face weaker opponents who may give more trophies due to your event bonuses. Play smart, not risky. You do not want to be wasting too much energy each time because of your greed. Balance out your team and event monsters.
There are a few details that need to be noted:
Arena Event:
The Arena Event is held in the Battle Royale Arena. It has replaced PvP event.
How To Do The Event: As I explained in the beginning, this event has a boss that needs donations of Valor Medals to engage. In this event, you have two goals for the event:
Let's look at goal 1 first:
The Arena Event is essentially centered in the Battle Royale Arena. To farm valor medals, you must defeat other players in the Battle Royale Arena by fighting any of the people in the room. Each time you fight someone, it costs 2 energy and you receive 5 Valor Medals on victory. There will also be a "Foe of the Day" which gives 10 Valor Medals instead of 5. You will face players with similar PR to your best team. So it is best that you put your best team on for this.
let's look at goal 2:
Remember, as I said at the beginning, once you have gather enough valor medals, you can donate them to the Arena Boss. Once the Boss hits 100% for donations, he can then be engaged on the following 4 difficulties: Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme. Each difficulty is 10 times harder than the previous one so slowly work your way up as a troop to see what you can engage comfortably. It will also cost more valor medals to donate each time until a cap of 200.
Dominion
Dominion is Pennypop's newest event. In this event, there are 5 towers that must be captured to earn points for the troop victory.
How To Do The Event: This event is a "scheduled" event, meaning troop admins must schedule for wars against other troops. The beginning of wars are separated by a 4 hour time span, and each war lasts for 1 hour. During this time, you must take "control" over as many towers as you can to earn points for your troop.
There are a few details that must be noted:
Strategy: Work with your troopmates by coordinating which tower to attack. For nonspending troops, this is important because the minimum damage is a pain. For example, my troop prefers to attack fire tower, for example, because we have many water teams. Once water is done, then we attack rock because our wind teams are the second strongest. etc.
League Event:
The League Event is basically a mini event that Pennypop holds in between the main events above. The League Event is dictated by Pennypop and there a few different type of league events. Your first goal is to reach 100 trophies, so you collectively get a total of 45 gold for free. Your second goal is then to compete with others to be in the top 10 in your league of 250 people with a similar power rating as you. The top 10 is doable and you can earn more gold and ultimate grabs for higher ranks.
Here are the types of League Events that have been released:
World Boss Event:
The World Boss Event hasn't been around for a little while. Basically, the players get 2 hours to attack a wind boss. The boss has its main body and 4 arms that can be attacked. Each part of the body has a different ability and it is normally best for the player to find out which part is the easiest to attack (quickly found out through troop mates attacking different parts). Each attack costs 5 energy, but normally the prizes are a handful of ultimate grabs, or even elite grabs (I think but can't remember because it's been awhile). People tend to spend on this to get a bunch of ultimate grabs. Also, every time you attack the boss, there's a chance the boss can drop: an epic, ultra/super/rare essence for salvage, scrolls, 5-20 energy, and more I have forgotten.
Generally, there are five recurring main events that Pennypop likes to hold: Arena Event, Dominion, 10 Day Events, Troop Wars, and Battle Royale. There are a few details that must be noted:
- Troop admins need to sign up 15 minutes before the war starts.
- You can heal your troop pet for a small percentage by sacrificing it specials in the Troop Wars zone (not recommended ever. It's a waste).
- You can level up your pet outside of Troop Wars to give it more health and have it hit harder. Upon reaching certain milestones (the first milestone at level 10), your pet will evolve and gain one extra ability. For the second evolution and beyond, it is a little hazy at the moment because only a few troops are high enough to experience it and apparently they still haven't been evolved at 20 or 25. Just focus on getting your pet to 10.
- Attacking the flag will give double the trophies that the pet gives. Killing the troop pet fast will maximize your troop's trophy gain.
- Winning the war (having more trophies than the enemy) will take the collective, individual trophies earned during the war, double it, and add it to the troop's total trophy count.
- Losing the war (having less trophies than the enemy) will take the collective, individual trophies earned during the war, lose 30%, and add the remaining to the troop's total trophy count.

- After beating an enemy 3 times, their trophy reward from their defeat diminishes to 1.
- You should only attack an enemy up to 2 times for most efficiency.
- Boosters can be used.
- My optimized spending strategy: Attack the strongest person twice, and second person once, then refresh.
Arena Event:
The Arena Event is held in the Battle Royale Arena. It has replaced PvP event.
How To Do The Event: As I explained in the beginning, this event has a boss that needs donations of Valor Medals to engage. In this event, you have two goals for the event:
- To "farm" (gather many) valor medals.
- To defeat the boss on the hardest level that you can possibly defeat him.
- There is a tower for each element.
- The towers have a minimum damage to capture.
- Controlling all five towers gives double trophies for individual hits.
- Spend all the energy you can (1 trophy per energy)
- Defeat Monsters (1 trophy per each defeated monster)
- Defeat Monsters and Spin Ultimate Grabs (1 trophy per monster, 25 trophies per ultimate grab)
- Defeat Monsters and Spin Any Grabs (1 trophy per monster, 2 for monster grab, 6-7 for avatar grab, 25 for ultimate grab, elite and legendary grabs above 100 i believe. someone will have to remind me)
- Spin Any Grabs (1 trophy per monster, 2 for monster grab, 6-7 for avatar grab, 25 for ultimate grab, elite and legendary grabs above 100 i believe. someone will have to remind me)
- Raise your Power Rating as high as you can to gain trophies
