Trading and Etiquette
Trading:
I have traded since July 2014 from 1 super team with mixed elements to 3 teams that are in this picture: . I can definitely say that I am experienced and have learned a lot about trading including the worth of monsters. If you have questions, you can always ask me in the Discussions page or on the Facebook pages.
As I have started off with, trading is quintessential to getting stronger monsters...whether you are a spender or non-spender. As a spender, you can earn a certain rank in the events, but you still have a 1/12 chance to receive the monster in your zodiac. When you don't receive it, then you need to trade. As for non-spenders, it is a step to getting stronger and stronger monsters. You can literally trade your way to an ultra team or higher.
What you do is go to bcrank.us and look for the monsters in your zodiac. From there, you offer monsters they want and get the monsters you want. People will generally want to trade monsters for equal value monsters, but there are other methods to getting the monsters you need.
You can offer a number of "Maxed Specials" and "Rogue/Lethal Feeders" to people and they will give you their monster for that. Basically, you max certain types of specials they ask you, or give lethal/rogue supers that you don't need, and you can receive good monsters in return. You may be wondering, "How can I trade them a 2-3 maxed specials for their awesome super?" Well, to do so, you basically trade 3 of your maxed specials for 3 of their non-maxed specials and your feeder super for their awesome super that you want.
Note: When you want to trade with someone, the MOST IMPORTANT thing is to add them in-game. Adding them on Facebook is so you can do the actual trade, but if you only add them on Facebook, you will not be able to trade.
Etiquette:
Remember while trading, you will meet many rude, strange, different ethnicity people. They want your monster and you want their monster, so there is no reason to treat anyone with disrespect. When you treat people nicely, you may end up with future, valuable trading partners...I can say this from experience.
There are a few rules of etiquette in trading that most people should follow:
Let's go over each reason and why it's a rule.

There are a few rules of etiquette in trading that most people should follow:
- No backing out after 24 hours.
- Try to trade after the 12 day mark.
- Notify the other trader whenever something comes up.
- When something comes up, be polite and understanding when asking or responding.
- Always add the other person in game immediately after accepting the deal.
- Make sure to post pictures of the mobs and clearly state what's being traded.
- Apologize, Understand, learn, and Move On.
Let's go over each reason and why it's a rule.
- Sometimes you accept a bad trade. Sometimes you need time to think over your decision again. Sometimes you realize you didn't actually need the monster. Things come up. If it's within 24 hours, then the other trade has not lost much to begin with. Daniel Lynard actually started this trend with bcrank.us and I completely agree with it. If you need to back out and it's after 24 hours, nicely ask the other person. If they say no, then it's your loss. It happens. I've lost one of the only Rock Element Swap Ultras in the game due to a bad trade that I couldn't back out of since I wanted to maintain my good image.
- It takes 12 days before you can trade. After waiting a long 12 days, people are antsy to do the trade. If possible, make sure to attempt to do the trades after the 12 day mark. It is completely understandable if you have schedule many trades and you cannot trade with someone for a few days BUT you must notify them as soon as possible so that they know and can adjust their trades if needed.
- Issues tend to come up. When you enter a trade with someone, you are sort of entering a business deal with them. Even more so, you're entering a temporary friendship. Let them know if there is anything wrong as soon as possible and work it out positively, patiently, and nicely.
- This is linked with rule number 3. Sometimes things come up. You should put yourself in their shoes and imagine as though you were in such an issue. Being polite and understanding is the best way to make both traders happy.
- A common misconception is that you need to add the other trader on Facebook and that is it. That actually only works for the first 100 friends I believe. Instead, you should always add the other trader in Battle Camp right away. That way you can add them on Facebook whenever you are free later since Facebook is just the machine that you do the trade through.
- Lots of disputes come through trading because people did not clearly identify what was being traded or whether it should be maxed or not. Just post pictures and clearly state, "So, I am trading this monster maxed for your unmaxed monster, correct?"
- Trades will fall through. People will be disappointing and back out on you. If you make the mistake, you should apologize completely. After that, there is nothing else you can do to make the other person feel better if there is nothing you can do. If you are dealing with a mistake or bad trader, be understanding. It happens and we really can't stop it. If it makes you feel better, you can go ahead and flag them on bcrank.us or post pictures of your trade agreement, pictures of them, pictures of their family, their dogs, their likes and dislikes, and whatever. That's up to you. But at the end of the day, for either person, you must learn and move on. Be cautious with trades, yet be trusting with people. It's a hard balance and bad may happen, but you will get through it because at the end of the day, you're really just playing a game.
Final Notes:
- Lowballing will happen. It may be really annoying when you get lowballed, but sometimes when you are the one lowballing, you can get an amazing offer and that's why people do it. If it really bothers you, just tell them "no thanks," since that's all you have to say.
- Up-ing posts on Facebook. Commonly people will type "up" on their trading posts in Facebook to bring it to the top of the trading page. That's perfectly fine, but there's not need to do it every minute since it will be up there already.
