Mastering The Game
This page is going to be really miscellaneous. It will be whatever pops in my head that I do to be more efficient, to gain more trophies, to master the game. I will make a Table of Contents when I am done so you can find things easier.
Good Habits
Good habits to pick up would be:
Practice Swiping
If you are an admin of a troop, then you can practice on the Raids found in the Troop Hall. If you are not an admin, you can practice in the Halls. Although many will argue that the new passive/active combos have taken over, that does not mean swiping is unimportant. It will always remain important, just in different ways. For example, if you have a 2 swap team, you should practice trying to get the 2 swaps to go off on different turns AND have the swaps in total be activated 3-4 times. if you have a 1 swap team, you should practice getting your damage actives to go off as many times as possible while aiming to get swap to be activated 2 times.
Get good with speed. The faster you are, the more combos you can make. Try to get faster and faster. You'll probably do bad at first and make many mistakes. Soon it will just become natural.
7 Turn Battles, you should think out every move to get the highest combos possible. This is style is opposite of the first style I mentioned above. You should be able to get 6-7 combos each time you swipe, if you are doing well. Realistically, that's the max you can get normally without luck. Every combo higher than 7 will be mostly luck.
In Arena, you normally get 2 moves before the enemy will use their powerful killing actives. Try to use your first turn to get rid of all the gems you need. On the second turn strive for a 5-3 combo. Or 5-3-3 if you can. Or 5-3-3-3...you get the idea. That way you can attack the entire enemy team with strong damage. This is more for a mono team though. If you have a mixed team, you should try to get as much multiple damage as possible.
Getting Stones!!
After playing for awhile, you will quickly realize the need for stones. Once you begin doing second evolutions, you WILL realize that lack of stones is a big issue. To get around this, you can do the following:
Monsters You Need
After awhile of playing, you will realize there are certain monsters that you should have tried to get beforehand or didn't value enough. Here are the monsters:
Good Habits
Good habits to pick up would be:
- Purchase Scrolls, Hammers, and Portable Anvils from the Troop Store and refresh it whenever you have extra loyalty points/stones.
- Use your digs at the dig site.
- Send your monsters on missions (Only the 2 highest difficulties that you can do with spare monsters).
- Pet the troop pet every 6 hours.
- Name each of your monsters after their abilities. You can type more letters than the allotted amount by typing in the second half of your monster's name first, then bring the cursor to the front of the letters. Then you can continue to type the first half of your monster's name.
- Add numbers into the names signifying the level of the passive. You must activate the Chinese keyboard in your Settings. When you want to type out the number, instead you must open up your Chinese keyboard and spell out the number in Chinese from 1 to 10. You can easily look up 1 to 10 on Google. But just in case...Yi, Er, San, Si, Wu, Liu, Qi, Ba, Jiu, Shi. Plus sign is: Jia.
- Doing the Hall Raids in each zone everyday to get an extra chance at a super. It only costs 1 energy on the final boss, though you can/should speed it up if it's slow. On the final boss, it is courteous to do a really weak hit so others can also attack it.
- Checking your troop's board every time you enter the game. And checking chat before you attack anything. Your troop may have stopped attacking a boss, or is asking everyone to attack LT or something. Don't waste your energy before then.
- Use all Arena Energy at all times.
- When attacking in the Arena, generally try to keep all your runes balanced. If you have a lot of Grey and Teal runes, then you should farm Lime. Doing this will allow you to level up a few times in a row.
- Always attack the person giving 2 runes at a time in the arena. Well, only if you can beat them. You should still give it a shot.
- Send free energy to your friends whenever you can. You never know when they will need it!
- Keep track of when your mystery eggs become available. Or just try to accept them every time you log in or open your mail.
- Every 30 energy you use as a leader will fill your leader ability.

Getting Stones!!
After playing for awhile, you will quickly realize the need for stones. Once you begin doing second evolutions, you WILL realize that lack of stones is a big issue. To get around this, you can do the following:
- Farm the Troop Dungeon. It can give you 300 stones at a time. Sometimes up to 600 stones, generally at lower difficulties.
- Farm the highest questing area you can and sell the commons/uncommons. A quick way to make some stones.
- Attack during Troop Wars with a stone finding booster and a lot of energy at once. This is the best and fastest way for stones, but also the most expensive because it either requires you to have many stone finding boosters or much energy/gold to spend.
- Don't upgrade and buy equipment as much. Really, it's a small boost in damage for a large price. Don't buy it or repair it if you need more stones.
- Feed wisely and efficiently. More explained in the Powering Up section (/powering-up.html).
- Farm high floors in Celestial Towers. You can now earn stones from beating a floor in Celestial Towers. The higher floor you beat, the more stones you will receive.
Monsters You Need
After awhile of playing, you will realize there are certain monsters that you should have tried to get beforehand or didn't value enough. Here are the monsters:
- Priority Wind Crush for LT and the many Wind bosses that exist in this game.
- Crush Monsters in general. They are nearly a necessity for your mono team as a side monster to you use when needed.
- Lacerate Monsters. There are quite a few healing bosses that you will need Lacerate to prevent from healing.
